Meghan Markle continues her charitable efforts with a new mental health PSA for Every Mind Matters. In the short video, Meghan’s voice can be heard talking about mental health struggles. Her feature is one of many on this impressive line-up. She is joined by Prince Harry, Duchess Kate, Prince William, and various British TV personalities.
Their households may have officially split with the two couples working on separate charities, however, they reunited to narrate the powerful mental health PSA.
The new online program aims to help people get a hold on their mental health and support those around them. A quiz helps users narrow down what they can do to best help their current mental health state. Users can then create a personal action plan of self-care actions to help deal with stressors and negative impacts on their mental wellbeing.
Every Mind Matters’ programs are based on the input from clinical and academic experts and British mental health charities. They hope to normalize people seeking treatment for their health and being more involved in helping those around them.
Prince William started out the narration, “Everybody knows that feeling, when life gets on top of us.”
Prince Harry followed up, “We feel stressed, low, anxious or have trouble sleeping. We think there’s nothing that can be done, nothing we can do about it.”
“But now, there’s a new way to help turn things around,” added Meghan. “Every Mind Matters will show you simple ways to look after your mental health.”
Notting Hill and Love Actually director Richard Curtis produced the PSA, and British photographer Richard Curtis directed it. The full two-and-a-half-minute ad will be aired for British households on all major TV networks, and for other international Meghan fans, you can check it out below.
