Yes, you read that correctly. The Duchess of Sussex went through two nannies before finally finding a keeper for Baby Archie. Photos were just released of this ‘godsend’ caretaker. You need to see Meghan Markle’s third nanny.
It is very common for the royal family to hire nannies for their children. With all the commitments of being a royal, having an extra pair of hands is a necessity. Yet, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have already gone through two nannies for Baby Archie.
Allegedly, the royals fired their first nanny as a result of her being ‘unprofessional.’ The second nanny employed was only hired to work night shifts. At three months old, Baby Archie has now had as many nannies as months alive.
Yet, this third nanny hired has clearly been a keeper. She was the first of the royal nannies to be spotted in public. While this nanny remains unnamed, she joined the Sussexes on their private jet getaway to Nice.
Although the pictures released do not fully reveal the identity of this third nanny, we do have a new look into Baby Archie’s caretaker situation.
An insider source told The Sun, “Meghan is a very hands-on mum but the new nanny is a godsend. She is extremely professional, with a number of nannying years under her belt, and has fitted into the family really well.” We are glad to know Archie is in good hands!
The source also added, ““She’s great with little Archie and just adores him. Harry and Meghan are very happy with her.”
This new nanny is not living with the Sussexes in Frogmore Cottage. Yet, she is joining Meghan and Prince Harry on their upcoming royal tour in South Africa.
In addition to hiring a third nanny, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also hired a new housekeeper and private secretary. Lots of change is happening within the Sussex household!
The new housekeeper’s identity is unknown, but she will be working at Frogmore Cottage. On the other hand, the private secretary is a very well respected diplomat, Fiona Mcilwham.
Fiona is a self-labeled “wannabe supermum” and will take over for Samantha Cohen. According to the Mail on Sunday Fiona had won over both palace officials and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex very quickly. At 45 years old, she has an impressive resume. Mcilwham was one of the youngest ambassadors for Britain.
All in all, we are not surprised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hired nannies and help for their royal household. While going through two nannies over a series of weeks is a bit excessive, we are happy to hear that the third nanny is a keeper.
