Although it’s hard to picture the once actress and now Duchess of Sussex as being a normal person, it is nice to get a glimpse into her life before royalty. A resurfaced video interview reveals Meghan Markle’s guilty pleasure. Let’s just say Meghan watches Bravo like the rest of us.
A resurfaced video interview gives us a glimpse into some more relatable habits and interests of the now Duchess. The interview took place on UKTV’s show Dave while Meghan was acting on her show Suits. All questions were answered rapid fire, and the Duchess does (or at least did) have some guilty pleasures like every other person. One of them being reality television.
While we can’t say reality television is playing throughout the Frogmore Estate, Meghan did confess to loving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Meghan also said her “kryptonite” is wine. We love seeing such a real side to the Duchess.
When asked what animal she would be if she could be any animal for a day she replied, “My dog Bogart. Best life ever.” It is comforting to see the consistency between Meghan’s pre-royalty beliefs and her beliefs now. She is still an outspoken dog lover and regularly works with animal and dog related charities.
Humorously, Meghan revealed in this interview that her first acting role was “hot girl number one” in A Lot Like Love with Ashton Kutcher. She has most definitely come a long way over the years.
The Duchess of Sussex also shared that she could not wait to show her future children The Giving Tree book. We wonder if this title has been read to baby Archie yet. Additionally, Meghan said that if her life were a children’s book it would be called “The Glorious Adventures of Freckle Faced Meg.”
Meghan’s love of freckles has continued into her current editing of British Vogue’s September edition. The well-known photographer Peter Lindbergh shot the cover. The Duchess gave him very clear instructions, “I want to see freckles!” Lindbergh was happy to receive these instructions. In a letter about making the cover he wrote, “Well, that was like running through open doors for me. I love freckles.”
In a 2017 interview with Allure Meghan shared, “To this day, my pet peeve is when my skin tone is changed and my freckles are airbrushed out of a photo shoot.” She added that when she was a kid her dad told her, “A face without freckles is a night without stars.”
