Have you ever wondered how royalty approaches fitness and health? Speculate no longer. Here is Meghan Markle’s favorite workout- it’s a lot simpler than you would think.
Back when the Duchess of Sussex still used her lifestyle blog, The Tig, it was very clear how important fitness and health were to her. Markle’s mom is even a yoga instructor, and Meghan has been practicing yoga since she was a child. Despite her recent pregnancy Markle is still taking the time to stay fit in a gentle and healthy way.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl says that while Meghan has been resting post-pregnancy “yoga is very much on her post-birth fitness regime, nothing too strenuous.”
During past construction of Meghan and Prince Harry’s Frogmore Cottage, it was even rumored that the Duchess would be installing a home yoga studio. While Cheatsheet and other sources eventually shut down this rumor, Markle definitely loves yoga.
For this reason it comes as no surprise that Meghan’s favorite workout class involves aspects of yoga. In her newly published guest-edited issue of British Vogue, Meghan discloses her favorite workout. In her editor’s letter she explains that what she put in the beauty section “puts its energy towards internal beauty, celebrating the power of breathing and meditation, and [includes] a favourite workout that urges you to use your heart as much as your core.”
The actual workout she is describing can be found at a London-based fitness studio called Heartcore. The description of the class in Vogue reads, “Heartcore’s new Ritual class is a high-energy, cardio-based mat workout incorporating elements of yoga, Pilates and barre.”
Unfortunately for us (and fortunately for some UK readers) Heartcore is currently only in London. The studio has ten different locations. One of these locations is in Kensington. We suspect Meghan discovered this studio while she was still living in Kensington Palace with Prince Harry and the Cambridges.
The studio describes its ritual class as, “Remixing Pilates, Yoga and Barre” and explains that “this dynamic heart and core-focused workout defines physical and mindful transformation.”
We may just need to fly out to London to try this Duchess-approved workout! Or at least try some Meghan Markle inspired yoga poses at home.
