Meghan and Harry have reportedly chosen designer Vicky Charles for their new home. She and her design partner at Charles & Co. (Julia Corden, wife of late night TV host, James Corden) recently completed the nursery for George and Amal Clooney’s twins. Vicky is known for incorporating modern elements into classic interiors that certainly echoes Meghan’s personal sense of style.

7. No ladies-in-waiting or footmen for the modern royals

Since the recent move into the cottage, Meghan and Harry haven’t yet hired household staff or a nanny. With Harry’s official travel schedule already impacting the new family, some staff will be required to assist with cooking, cleaning and gardening, but the formalities usually expected in royal households will not be routine with the Sussex’s.

8. Room for Grandma Doria

Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, moved into Frogmore Cottage with the family. Her inclusion in the official birth announcement indicates she is an integral member of the Sussex household and likely staying in the UK for the foreseeable future. With five bedrooms there is plenty of room for Doria to stay and enjoy time with her first grandchild.
