Archie Harrison Christening Is This Weekend, Godparents’ Identities to Remain Private

Here’s the big Archie Harrison christening news of the week. In keeping with being a modern royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are having baby Archie christened this weekend in July 6. However, this will be a private ceremony and the baby’s godparents will not be revealed to the public.

“Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be christened in a small private ceremony by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday 6th July,” Buckingham Palace released in a statement. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex look forward to sharing some images taken on the day by photographer Chris Allerton.”

The statement concludes with the following: “The godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private.”
