7. Doria met Meghan’s father while working on the set of a TV show.
Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle met in the 1970s while they both worked on the set of General Hospital. Thomas was working as a lighting director and Doria had a temp position. Meghan has said that she likes “to think he was drawn to her sweet eyes and her Afro, plus their shared love of antiques.” Sadly, Meghan’s parents divorced when she was six years old. Dora and Thomas, though, remained amicableand friendly.
